I purchased a trip to the Cayman Islands from Nations Travel in July. I got their information from a friend who received a fax listing various trip options. I called and gave them $400 from using my checking information via phone. The girl on the phone told me I would receive a package and an email. I received both and had to send in $200 for airplane vouchers. I wasn't ready to book the trip until the first of the year. They told me I have 18 months to book the trip. The called me in September asking if I was ready to book and told them no not yet. The last time I heard from them was when a guy in October called and asked if I wanted to book my trip. I said no and he said you won't be able to actually take the trip in January because you have to allow at least 3 months before booking. I told him that was fine because I don't plan to take my trip until April. Well, the first of January I called to book my trip and the phone was disconnected. I then googled the company and noticed all the bad reviews stating that this was a scam. I've never been scammed before and I am terribly upset that I was so naive to get these people $600. I am thankful that I didn't give them more money when they called me two times. If possible, I really would like to get my money back.
