My husband and I moved to El Paso, Texas in February and saw a sign for mobile homes and decided to check it out. We had to deal with a person, we thought was part owner in the trailer park, where the home was located.in actuality he worked for Oakwood and did not tell us all the problems with the house.
We thought it was a good deal until we moved in. First, we had to replace a outlet, which was pulled from the wall. Then we had to fix the bathroom shower, because it was leaking into the bedroom. The toliets have been fixed and other problems, including missing windows, that I was told would be replaced. None of which has happened. I cannot even open a window, because they have been either nailed shut, or there is only one window with no screen and no double pane like I was told.
I have tried repeatedly to get them to fix this house. The charged us 23,000 for a house, that had no more of a value then 19,000 at the time of purchase. I have threatened and I have screamed, and I have even finally given up. I can't sue them, I can't get them to fix anything and now I can't even get anyone to buy it.
We are in the process of moving, because of a transfer and I don't like to leave a debt unpaid. But what do you do if you can't get them to fix anything and you can't get them to help you sell it. I have about lost my mind. If I owned a gun, I wouldn't go after them, I would shoot myself, so I wouldn't have to pay for this piece of crap, they called a home.
