Person had been talking to me for about a month now was supposed to meet this person on the 11th of february a couple days before she had told me that her saughter who resides in nigeria with her aunt, had been rushed to the hospital from pain in the stomach. After xrays the drs found a tumor in her stomach that had been there for some time but now was festering and causing promlems.
She had told me that the child needed surgery and the drs there would not do the surgery unless the had the complete fee. She had send to her aunt 1850 but needed 900 to complete the fee. The money was sent but then because the surgery was not done straight away now there were stimulants and drugs that needed to be given but paid for before they would be given. The low low cost of 550.
There was money sent to assist with this also and then of course now the child complains o pain and is taken back to the hospital where more xrays show that the surgeon mistakenly left a knife in the stomach. This requires surgery again and the dr say that they (the family) will have to pay for this as well. 1200 is the cost.
The child has the surgery and comes home within a day where as before she was in the hospital for 2 weeks.
Now "chelci" is ready to come home e to the states but needs a plane ticket. 2000 was sent.
She insisted that the money be sent to her because buying the ticket there would be cheaper then through an agency. She bought the ticket for 1700 and went to the airport and purchased the ticket. "chelci" was supposed to fly out last night and arrive in the states today, however i received an email this morning of how she tried to board the plane and was told that she needed to pay yet another fee before she could get on the plane. This fee is called a BTA which stands for basic travel allowance. The only time this fee is required is iff you are a citizen of that country. The reason...

But she says they will not let her on the plane without paying the fee of 1100.
I contacted the us embassy in nigeria, explained what was going on. They sent her an email asking for passport info to help her and she did not respond to them.
They advised me that the person was more then likely someone who is doing a scam.
