Consumer Report

It began 12/08 til 5/11. Richard or Richie, as he was known had me believing that we were going to be together. We began slow then I started to have feelings for him and then fell in love with him. He lived in The Bronx, NY and I was supposed to meet with him but couldn't because I had become ill. Not too long after that, Richie told me his father was sick and he had to go to Nigeria to be with him during his surgery. Once supposedly in Nigeria, after two weeks he was ready to head back to the States. He told me he had a check which he was unable to get cashed in Nigeria so he was going to send it to me to try and cash it. I never got the check in the mail so he said it must have gotten lost in the mail because the mail system there in Nigeria is very bad. This is when he began asking me for money to get home. He needed $1200 for his flight which I didn't have. Then his did took a turn for the worst and he needed $450 for medicine. I was able to send this to him. He was so appreciative to me for "saving his dad's life". Finally I was able to come up with the $1200 by Feb. He told me he got his flight ticket with the money and was leaving for the airport. I was so happy. I was finally going to be with my man. After not hearing from him for three days, I received a call from a doctor in Nigeria who told me Richie had been hit by a car and needed surgery. This was going to cost $1000 plus $450 for medication.in time I sent the money and he got better but he needed more money for a balm to put on his leg for pain and for food. Each week I would try to send him $50-$100 for food because he said he didn't have any and was becoming weak from not eating. I tried to help him as much as I could.

He finally got well enough to travel again and proceeded to leave Nigeria again to come home to the States. Then he told me the weather was bad there in Nigeria due to the snow and he needed to catch a flight to Benin in order to get to the States. This was an additional $250. Once in Benin he told me he couldn't get a flight out to the States so he had to go back to Nigeria, another $250. Time after time there was money needed. $500 for this $1000 for that, $100 for "food stuff". It wasn't until the second time he was supposedly kidnapped that I had enough. I had just sent him another $250 to get home when he got kidnapped. After 3 days I received a text message from his phone from one of the kidnappers. He told me I had to send them $250 or they would cut off his head and send it to me. This was around May. I didn't take it seriously and didn't send a dime. He miraculously got away and was still asking for money. I never sent any more.
