Letter recvd saying I won $250,000. They sent a check from WPS Insurance Corporation in PO Box 7009 Madison WI 53707 from JP Morgan Chase, N.A. (Columbia, OH) for $3,875.00 to cover "tax, insurance, shipping and handling for the "winnings of $246,125.00".
They stated in the letter signed by Marshall F Moor that I should call "John Lopez" at a Canada Tel 647-707-3975 before I do anything with the check for $3,875.00.
This letterhead on the letter was "Universal Finance Inc." with offices in US - 90421 Queens Blvd, NY NY 1054, UK - 7321 Thorburn Rd., London, England and Canada -231 Main Street, Niagara, Ontario".
So the letter comes from Ontario, Canada with a plain stamp; the check is from a company that is a medical company that works with Medicare in Madison, WI.
This is a SCAM - do not call them - they will harass you with constant calls and give your number to other scammers!!!
