On April 3 received letter from Universal Lottery Pormotions as a Certificate of Award. This letter dated Mar 1 stated that I had won the British Lotto of London England of $65,000.00.
Enclosed was a check for $2890.00 to be deposited into my account and send the money to Zara Benson of Union Financial Management Group at 902 Liberty Ave, Suite 114, Winnipeg, MB R4C6H7.
Claiming to be an accrdited agency to British Lottery Board, with phone 403-397-0343. Prize should be claimed no later than Mar. 27 and I received the letter and check Apr 3.
I immediately called this Zara person, of course she wasn't in, and was on vacation, asked when she would return in 2 weeks, I ended conversation.
I then went on line, first searching for Universal Lottery Promo. To no avail then Union Finacial Mgmt Group, many out there, and last Welded Tube of Canada.
The check from the beginning made me suspicious, not understanding why a Welded Tube company would be issusing the check in the first place. This was to be a Lottery, Right?
This is when I noticed your Website, I would like to help stop this scamming procedure. What do we do to keep this from continuing on. Some people would be so desperate and happy to receive the check. They would not think twice before cashing it.
