Received a letter in the mail, on Monday, September 17, from the Continental Lottery Resource Management Incorporation. There were two addresses on the letter head; US Office: 5570 Main Street, New York, New York 10142 and UK Office: 9046 Sir Roland Rd, London England.
Enclosed was a letter along with a check in an amount of $3,992.80, to pay for tax, insurance, shipping and handling or the winnings. I was instructed to call an agent (Tony Wei r), who's telephone is listed in the letter and give password, claim number, etc. The letter also informed me that I was entitled to the sum of $300,000.00 payable to me by a certified check and will be delivered to me by a a special courier company.
Knowing that it could not be true, I decided to call the listed telephone number to tell them that they are a fraud. The man hung up on me. Thought I'd send this letter to inform all that the scams are alive, and please do not believe that you have won a large sum of money in some lottery that you have never played or are familiar with!
