Someone has already written a report about these people and their home improvement business but I thought I would write one about them as tenants. I recently rented a house to them and ended up having to evict them because they owed me over $5000 in back rent.
When I would contact them and try to collect my rent and back rent from them they started to accuse me of harassing them and threatened to report me for it. That's when I decided to get a lawyer and move for eviction (which was another added expense). We reached a court mandated agreement that they needed to be out in 30 days.
When they did leave they left the house in a state of filth and disrepair. Among some of the things I found upon entering the house after they left: massive amounts of garbage and furniture in front of the house; a swing set in the back yard that does not belong to me; a set of stairs that they stole from another poster on this site; holes in the walls; stained beyond keeping carpeting; a damaged yard from a dog that they were not supposed to have per our lease agreement; a dog house; removed wall paper that was not replaced or repainted; and a new dead bolt which I do not have a key to.
I am currently working with a lawyer to see if I can recoup any of the money they owe me and the damages although I am not optimistic I will get anything. I am positive however that they will do this same thing to someone else and I'm sure they have in fact already done it to other people in the past. The day after the eviction agreement was reached they actually had the nerve to ask me to write them a letter of recommendation for another house or apartment.
Please beware of these people and do not rent or do business with them!!!
