Company hijacked Cabela's website, with phony survey pop up offering free gift. I completed survey. Chose free gift, and received gift 10 days later. On Decembers CC statement charges for $7.00 s/h and 10 days later $98.00. Called company rep said I signed up for a monthly product to be sent. I replied WHAT??? She said didn't you read the terms and conditions. I don't even remember any terms and conditions, but I am sure there is fine print somewhere. Anyway I called my CC company and they are sending me paperwork, and if it appears again I will need to cancel the account and open a new one.
The rep did give me an email address to billing, and a cancellation number. I am sure this is not the last of this. Where are Ethics—this is a SCAM.
