How we got our money back!!!
Like everyone my wife was scammed by this company for 2 samples ordered of Facebook. Having got nowhere with them we phoned our bank, Santander. We insisted on a new debit card so that future amounts could not be taken. We then spoke to the fraud department who sent us forms to complete. They rejected the complaint on the grounds that we should have cancelled the orders.
I don't see how we can cancel orders for items that we never ordered in the first place.
I then complained online to the FOS (Financial Omsbudsman Service) They sent us forms to complete online and print off and post to them.
2 days ago Santander refunded our money. My wife telephoned the FOS to let them know. They informed us that they had lodged the complaint with Santander, but would now withdraw it. I wonder if this is because if the FOS had found in our favour then Santander would have had a £650.00 arbitration fee to pay as well as our refund. Don't you love banks. Pity I never was sold PPI.
