Citizens bank Instructed me by phone how to pay off a loan I had with them, when I went to the branch to payoff the loan, will all the information I needed, the vice president of the branch called to verify amount of payoff and then proceeded to tell me the loan would not be processed until after the holiday, so I would incur additional interest on the loan that I was paying off on this date. I objected and she proceeded to call customer service from her branch, again. I then talked to 2 different Representative in which they both gave me conflicting information. 1 hour later I'm still in the branch with my payoff amount, and refused to pay any additional interest, charging me interest due to a Holiday schedule & to the misinformation I received. Not to mention the Home equity loan was given at a teaser rate then jumped higher than another bank rates, paying interest on an inflated loan I just needed to pay it off and be done, and they want to charge me more for their misinformation and lengthy processing times? Bull s*t. Unethical, rip off. I am definetly filing a complaint with the State attorney Generals office.
