Earlier this year I got a home equity loan from another bank to pay off a loan from Ocwen because it had a very high interest rate. Ocwen was contacted by the other bank for a payoff amount. The other bank acquired the payoff amount from Ocwen and I was given a cashiers check to send to them so I could close my account with this dreadful company.
Approximately 2 weeks later I received a my check back from Ocwen and a letter saying that the payoff amount was not right and that I owed more money that was sent. Due to the company not cashing the check, as they should have, I was charged late fees and additional interest on my remaining balance. This turned out to be an additional $250.00 that I payed because I had no other choice and I wanted to end my business with this company as soon as I could.
If I could be a part of a class action lawsuit against this company I will do anything I can to help. I think it is terrible the way this company conducts business and something should be done about it.
