Baby-sit Your Bank Account When Dealing With Wells Fargo

People. Please be aware that if you have a checking account with wells Fargo. You better be prepared for the impossible when dealing with this guys. I had a positive available balance in my checking account. After making some check card purchases my account balance reflected that activity and was subtracted from my balance and placed in a pending status. Unfortunately. Afterwards. I had a check come in which did not clear my account. The bank charged me a return check fee as they should have done.

However. They also took the money from last two pending check card purchases and put it towards the balance of check which was no where near enough to clear the check. They stated to me that. Eventhough the check card purcheses had been made prior to the check attempting to clear and the money already being placed on hold for those check card purcheses. Because it had not hard posted that they could still remove money placed in a pending pre authorized status and post it towards the debt. Further causing me to have to pay for the transactions twice. They told me this was legal banking practice. And that I need to keep better track of my account.
