In short, my experience with Extra Space in the Lakewood/Tacoma WA area was TERRIBLE.
I went in before deploying so my wife could move while i was gone. Rates were high but it was close, they were nice, and i was promised a very military friendly experience. After my wife moved she called to end the service. She was simply told "i will take a note and i will take care of that for you". Thinking everything was "TAKEN CARE OF" she thought nothing else of it. When i get home i realize they have continued pulling money out of my account for an extra 3 months! I confront them about this and all i get is "your wife isnt allowed to close out the unit" (even though she's on the account", "she must have called someone else, we're very good at our job and dont make mistakes like that" and "theres nothing we can do to refund your money because we thought you were using that unit". I've used 3 other local companies and never had a problem. Extra Space is a joke and i hope no one else gets caught up in a mess like the one i did.
