I knew before the package was shipped that we should of used UPS. I am an executive with a major foot wear company. A client shipped an extremely important proposal via FedEx. It was due to arrive today. This proposal included a new Nike prototype shoe and a large investment contract with a new client who planned to spend an obscene amount of money opening several of our franchises.
There was an attempt to deliver today. I left a note on my door at 3:53pm today letting the driver know I had stepped into the restroom at my residents. As the situation dictates, of course they knocked on my door right as I had entered my bathroom. It took me all of 45 secs to respond to the knock.By this time they had left an attempt to deliver and were gone. I tried to chase him down without success.
I called customer service to see what needed to be done as this package is the most important thing in my career right now. After being on hold for over 35 minutes I finally got a rep on the phone. To make an already long story short, I was told their was nothing that could be done about this and they would try to redeliver on tuesday of next week.
I called a second time to speak with a supervisor. I was told that the shipping hub was closed and there was nothing anyone could do to help.
Needless to say now my career is probably on the line being I have a conference call with my superiors and the client in little less than an hour and I don't have the documents that are a must for this business call.
FedEx is the worst shipping company on the market.
Something needs to be done because their customer service is worse than going to a fast food Restuarant.
Please if you read this, never use FedEx for anything.
