I visit the Dunkin Donuts located inside the Shop Rite in Branchburg, NJ and about twice a week I'm being told that their server is down and won't except gift cards for payment. It's a scam so people use cash and feel obligated to tip them. This way they make money on all customers. Being in IT I find it hard to believe when I'm told that their server is down for excepting gift cards, but yet they are making other transactions at the same time using the same POS System. This is an inconvineince to everyone, because people are forced to find another means of payment. I'm playing the game with them, and so far have received free coffee server times already. Not my fault their systems is "down".
