I am wondering why we cannot get Time Warner Cable / Internet on my street. I live in the town of Pembroke on County Line Road located between Maple road and Cohocton road. This is located in upstate New York. The town of Pembroke Council & Supervisor apparently told time Warner that it was not necessary to bring the cable lines down on road when installing them the first time as we have but six or seven houses on the road. It It's A shame, as we all would probably have purchased the service.instead, around the corner, our neighbors have excellent high speed service and we are stuck with a DSL line operated with equipment located in the village of Corfu that was put in when I was in high school.in fact, this at best POOR service is all we can get, works intermittently and is operated by one of your competitors. When we contacted your company in regards to purchasing your services, we were told we would have to pay 15 to 20 thousand dollars to have the cable ran just to our house, less than a half mile from the nearest junction. I think I am going to investigate the contract and the people who signed it from the Town of Pembroke board, just to make sure that all is above board. Frankly, it seems all a bit fishy to me. And I know most of the members of that council as I went to and graduated school with them. Any time they are questioned, we are told to mind our own business. I will also be filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney General's office, as nobody seems willing to answer my questions. Thank you for your time.
