We were without telephone service from August 28 to October 8. This left us unable to contact police, fire or ambulance service in an emergency and made it difficult and expensive to conduct routine daily business. Anyone calling our phone number (which we've had for about 45 years) was told that we "were not accepting phone calls at this time." This lack of service is unacceptable.
