I received a bill for $105.00 from One Web Direct Bill on 9/17/04 for charges that related to an entertainment fee for access to a pay-per-view website - LD site was in the UK. I never accessed this or any other website and most definitely never approved of this service. I sent an e-mail to One Web and they sent me back an e-mail stating that I had better pay or they would turn my bill over to a collection agent and that I would have to pay lawyer fees and late fees and get a bad credit rating. The bottom line is that I believe that an auto dialer has been placed on my computer via a drive-by download.
I filed a complaint with the FTC and would like recommendations on whether I should pay the bill on time and then fight to get my money back, or just fight it and not pay.
