I purchased a Magic Jack to save on my phone bills.
Since I had many issues with them, I had gone several times to their customer support online and discussed those issues, as well as spent many hours attempting to fix them.in that process, I was sent another magic jack and I went to the installation process, as directed. I attempted to achieve a number with my area code, and was told there were none available. The prompts directed me to the next page, which I did. I found a phone number with the prefix needed, and requested that number. This took me much time to complete, and I was highly frustrated by this, as well as needing a phone. Now I have a "custom" number, according to Magic Jack, that I have to either pay an additional $3 on top of the yearly charge, or I can pay $10 to change to a "free number".
I still have half a year of previously paid for service, and without paying their additional fee I have no way to use that service. I requested a refund on my service; however, they disconnected after me asking for such.
