PrepLogic Disceptive, Misleading, Fraud

PrepLogic, aka Learningsmartsystems.com operates a shady business at best — BUYER BEWARE!

Compared to other complaints on this site, I guess my complaint is minor. I purchased a complete set back in June for MCSE certification for $795. Unfortunately, I have only been able to view a few of the disks. Very difficult to install due to problems with keys being hard to read.in addition, the disks wouldn't install on some computers which also was a frustration.

The other day I thought I'd start going through them in case any job interviews opened up. Granted this was for 2003 server but they are still used widely, especially in the City I work for. I installed one of the disks which went fine but after putting in my key, a message came back, "Your license is expired, click here to renew." I was incensed that after paying $800 the keys were no longer valid. I called Learningsmartsystems support and was told, yes the keys are only good for 3 YEARS because they didn't want people viewing "old" material. I said why didn't you tell me that when I buying the complete set? I told her that I should be able to view the disks 10 years from now if I so choose; it should be MY prerogative after spending that kind of cash.

I got the following response,

"Thank you for contacting us, I understand your frustration and I have spoken with our Management department on your
behalf. They have advised we can offer a gift card as courtesy and we do apologize for the confusion. If you are interested I can have one of our career counselors contact you. Please note, we do have a great offer going on right now for Lifetime access. You would never have to worry about access expiring with that training. If you have any additional questions please contact us. Thank you!

Gift card code: 8637120XXXXXXXXX
Gift card amount: $75.00
Gift card expiration: 8/12

Sincerely,
Gabrielle B

I tried sending them an email but of course they don't have any published email (I can see why) with which to send complaints. You can only file a trouble ticket on their website.

This was to be my response:

You are kidding. I spend $800 on a set of disks that become worthless in 3 years and you think I would spend more money with you. Regardless if the information is old or not, I should be able to view them 10 years from now if I so choose, being that I paid for them. I was NEVER told that they would expire in 3 years or I would have never bought them.

I'll spend every chance I get online, dissuading others from buying your product (s).
