I signed up for an advertised "90 day for a penny" reseller hosting account with westnic.net. My method of payment was paypal and the penny was paid.
After approximately 3 weeks of hosting I wound up in a dispute with paypal over an unrelated matter and paypal decided to lock my account. Without my knowledge and consent paypal issued an email to all of my vendors cancelling my subscriptions with them. I was unaware of this until I went to my websites and noticed that my accounts were suspended.
After an argument with paypal which did not resolve the dispute I contacted WestNIC and requested that they allow me to substitute a payment method for the subscription and was informed that my 90 days had been cancelled and if I wanted to pay $35 they would reinstate me.
I called and spoke with WestNIC twice and filed a trouble ticket and emailed; all to no avail.
These people were PAID for the 90 days and cancelled my account after 3 weeks. This is a scam perpetrated by a hosting reseller and the customer support is HORRIBLE!
I would not advise anyone looking for hositng to do business with this company.
