I wanted to try out web hosting at AllReseller.com because the plans they offered had an attractive set of space and features and a very reasonable price. I signed up in December and made a plan selection that included the one month price of $8.95. I thought for sure I read that I would pay for each upcoming month in advance or I would get cancelled. I decided that I did not want to continue using after the first month, so I emailed them to tell them I wanted to cancel. They responded and asked why, I explained that I just wanted to try it for a month but I would like the option to come back in the future if I changed my mind. They told me they would cancel my account. I then received a notice that I was going to owe a payment for the upcoming month of January. I ignored it, thinking it would automatically cancel the account they told me they had cancelled. A few days later I received a notice from PayPal saying they sent AllReseller.com a payment for double the amount I paid for the first month, $16.95.

I contacted AllReseller again to tell them I wished to cancel, and I requested a refund, and I was ignored. I continued contacting AllReseller about once a week with my problem, and still have not been responded to.

I've been billed for January, February, and also March, for 3 charges of $16.95 each, and they will not respond to my requests for a refund. I finally learned how to get this thing cancelled through PayPal, but it took me nearly 3 months of trying - I thought I had it cancelled in February but apparently it didn't work.

I tried calling AllReseller and every single number I could find that was listed for them are all disconnected. Nobody is ever available for their "live chat" on the internet either.

I never authorized AllReseller to attach a subscription payment to my PayPal account, and I never realized this was happening until the charges started coming out. It took over 3 months to finally get it cancelled and it was an extremely difficult and confusing process with PayPal. I'll be writing about them as well because they haven't made this any easier.

It was AllReseller's fault for signing me up for something without my authorization and not even notifying me they did so. Worse, they won't acknowledge the problem, or do anything about it, or even respond to my emails anymore. There is no telephone or live chat support, they cost me over $48 plus my bank account and PayPal account have been in dispute and a mess for over 3 weeks as I am trying to get this all resolved. It was definitely a trap - they make it sound like it's pay as you go, then they sign you up without your knowledge, you start getting billed automatically and it is extremely difficult to get the billing to stop - and once you finally get the billing to stop - you're still out the money and without a response from them about anything - let alone a refund.
