I am a busy person who does not check my credit card statements as often as I should. Today I discovered that AOL had been charging me 23.90 for the last five months. I had used three months when I bought my computer but I made sure and closed the acount with-in the three months. The aol representative kept tring to give me a few more months free if I agreed to sign up with them, of course I didn't. The account was closed... Or so I thought.
The account was closed but a new one was opened. I called AOL to try to get my $119.50 back and the representative said the most they could give me was two months of charges. I then asked to speak with a manager, of course they connected me with someone that does not speak very much english or at least acted like she didn't. After half and hour of getting no where. I hung up.
I then called citicard to see what they suggested. The rep was very helpful... She said she was having problems with them also. She suggested calling AOL back tomorrow and tring to get a hold of someone more important with AOL.
Me being my angry self I did ran a few search engines and found this great site. I read many reports and also found out about aolbillingscandal.com.
I called aol back and stated that I would either recieve the money they owed me or I was going to start a class action law suit. I also read a few lines from aolbillingscandal.com. The attitude was now totally different. My credit card should be credited in 4 to 5 days.
Hopefully.
