I was reviewing my credit card statement when I saw a charge of $14.95 for a company called Easy Saver. I went back through my statements and discovered that this company has been charging my account for several months. I didn't question it at first, because I do sometimes buy small items over the internet and the company name may be different than the one I purchased from. To make a long story short, in June I purchase items from Blair House. Supposedly there is an option at the end of the purchase to get a $20 savings on your next order. Thinking that that's a good deal, I clicked on the offer, not realizing that after 30 days I would be charged a membership fee of $14.95 a month for Easy Saver. This is truly a scam and unless you read and understand what you are accepting on the internet, you will be charged these amounts. I called Easy Saver at 1-800-355-1837, and disputed the charges and requested my money back for all charges. I spoke to the first representative who could only credit back 2 of the charges. I then spoke with an account specialist to agreed to credit back the balance, which I was told would take approximately 2 months.
I suggest that you read carefully when offered savings and check your credit card immediately after receiving it and if you see anything for Easy Saver, immediately call them at the number above and inform you to cancel your unauthorized membership.
Also, contact the company from which you made the original purchase and inform them of the practices of this company so they will consider discontinuing their association with them.
