Dell Lie a lot before dale. And after, no one have proper information about it

September - 2011 I called Dell Brasil and asked if they provide support and waranty for Dell products bought in the USA. They said YES. So, I bought the computer. At the end of november, it started to show some problems. The BIOS would not recognize the Hard Disk. Dell asked me to open the computer and remove and reinstall the Disk. They said it is a reset on the disk. Is it? Worked (bad contact on the cables?). A couple days later, stoped again. Same procedure over and over. After repeating it for many times, it would not work anymore. No HD recognized by the BIOS. Now the nightmare would start.

1- I called DELL Brasil to claim the waranty. They asked me to request a transfer, so the computer would be registered in Brazil so they would be allowed to fix it.

2- I did the request and after 45 days, I get a message. Request denied. Not enough information. So I did it again and called dell to complain.

3- I asked if all that waiting would reflect in my waranty, extending it. (I am loosing 3 months waiting) They could not say and they hang up on me.

3- I called again and they told me that my computer is not covered under waranty in Brazil. Why did they lie when I decided to buy it? Connection droped. Or they hang up on me again?

4- I called one more time and I was told that the warranty works in Brazil, so they would transfer to a technician to start the process. The technician told me that the computer has no warraty and I should contact DELL USA, because Brazil does not have the parts for this specific model. They dont have a SATA Hard Disk?

5- Since Dell does not provide any support, I am fixing it myself. That would void the warraty but I have nothing, so what would I loose? I will buy the hard disk and install it. The problem is that DELL license number is not recognized by a regular Windows DVD, so I will have to buy another license, even that I paid for one already.

My advice based on this. Dont buy Dell coputers. Their Customer support is useless and they lie a lot before you buy.
