First powerDVD ultra 11 (1) isn't user friendly and (2) it does't play all types of files as led to believe. It comes with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee but when I emailed them to request an RMA or whatever I needed to get to be able to return it I didn't hear back after two (2) days. All such requests are made from the Cyberlink website so one doesn't have any record of having requested a refund, etc. Also the sale was through a third party known as digital river.
This is the second time I have purchased software marketed through them and... Had problems that time too. They were marketing DLA software a later version of which was readily available to the public via Dell's website (and I don't have a Dell computer). Bottom line... The old powerDVD (vers 6) was great but the new ones aren't so good and I personnally won't be buying anything marketed through digital river. One afterthought... The only 'reliable' and readily accessible technical support has to be paid for.
Luckily I paid via Paypal who will likely be able to arrange a refund.
