Beware of Bill Me Later. They are just like payday loans! They fool people like myself by not being clear on their terms. It is deception and false advertising at its best. I spoke to 4 reps about my concern, and not one person could explain to me in detail how to go about taking advantage of their 6 Months No Payments No Interest til July terms. I read it over and over again just to make sure about the 6 months no payments. eBay states that to get this offer I have to spend $99 or more. Well, in 2 weeks I spent just under $500. So I received a bill for $16.74 in less than 2 weeks that is due on Dec 27th.
I spoke to them and asked what this was, and they told me I did not follow the term agreement! I said, "Yes, I did, because I spent more than $99." I was then told I was either supposed to buy 1 item for $99 or buy several items totaling up to $99 and pay for all items at the same time. I did get upset and, without being disrespectful, expressed that they need to word it like that in their terms and agreements. It says I have to purchase $99 or more, and this is all it states!
So now I am stuck wondering how I am going to pay for the items starting this month. Bill Me Later will ruin my credit.
