EBAY and Rodrigo ripler
Purchased product not delivered to correct address, seller refused to refund, Worse yet EBAY went back on its word to protect buyers from bad sellers

I'm writing this report on behalf of my mother, and to warn potential buyers of a change in the policies previously protected by eBay in their company.

My mother recently purchased a small inexpensive item on eBay from a seller out of Houston, Texas named eBay username: rodrigotripler. From my search I found his name to be also Rodrigo Tripler, also I found several references to Mr. Tripler on Youtube and as well on Twitter.

First off she purchased this item in good faith that it would arrive to her in a timely manner, after weeks had passed nothing had been delivered. She contacted Mr. Tripler through eBay and informed him of the situation. Mr. Tripler responded by saying the product had indeed been delivered through a delivery confirmation. She responded by telling him that it had not been delivered! He responded there's nothing that he could do, he offered to refund only 50% of her money. As many of you know this would be unacceptable, the product had not been delivered to her, and the seller refused to track down the person who has taken possession of the property. Understandably upset she contacted eBay as a last resort to try to recover her money for an item she did not receive.

EBay has long held itself as a company that protects the users, unfortunately in this particular case eBay failed to protect the buyer. And after some research I have found that this is more common than you may think, more people are upset by horrible sellers on eBay simply because those who run eBay always protect the seller more than the buyer in small amounts. I was always under the understanding that if a product was not delivered to the right address or simply not delivered at all that eBay would stand aside its practices and protect the people who buy from the site. Sadly as a high-ranking buyer on their site I am reluctant to continue using due to this fact. And to anyone currently using the site please be aware that eBay is no longer a company that works in protection of its buyers.

EBay's response was that there was a delivery confirmation so the product had been delivered unfortunately it had not been delivered and eBay refuses to find out what address it was really delivered to and sided with the seller.

Reasonably upset by this she wrote back to eBay and to the seller, and left negative feedback on the sellers account. Then Mr. Tripler wrote back that he would now refund 90% of her money but only after she removes the negative feedback. My question to eBay is "How long have you been supporting extortionists on your site?". This seller has resorted to extortion tactics to try to maintain his percentages and eBay is supporting him. Also it begs the question for such a small amount of money why would anyone resort to these types of tactics unless there is something else going on.

We have resorted to chalking this up as a lost amount of money, however small the amount is it is the principle of the issue. EBay fails to protect the buyers then why would we bother buying anything from the site.

Angry for my mother re-telling the account of her interaction with this issue I wanted other users to be aware that because a sellers feedback is at 100% it does not mean they are good sellers it simply means eBay has allowed sellers to extort their feedback from buyers so you can no longer follow the feedback has a valid means of protection.
