I saw a billboard advertising for this Joi Internet for $6.95 a month. Well, I was actually talked into getting the faster dial up connection, which by the way does not work, and I was now paying 12.95, since I didn't want to pay for a whole year in advance.
I only had a few months experience (less than 4) to know that I hated them and their programs had messed up my computer. I would call their tech support, but these people, really, are not computer techs. They are people off the street that has a little manual in front of them to troubleshoot your issue. Anyway, to make a long story short, I cancelled. I did so by email, because when I actually called to cancel, which is customary, they would not let me. I emailed them and cancelled my service and now for the last two months, my card has been charged.
I know this is a small amount of money, but it is the principle that counts. We as consumers are getting more and more afraid of using a credit card for things like this because no one is making companies be accountable for their actions. I like the convenience of a card, but this is ridiculous!!! I don't feel safe getting it out of my purse for fear someone will read the number and use it. That was sarcasm, I know, but that is the feeling I get.
Sincerely,
Paige
