Sometime near the end of 2010 I signed up for NetZero's dial up internet service, I used their service for only a couple of months then I got cable high speed internet service. I upon completion of my High Speed Internet Service, called NetZero to cancel, they would not accept my cancellation and allegedly offered a free month of tech support. I didn't want their tech support service, I wanted my account cancelled and I made that very clear. At any rate they continued to charge my bank account for two more months until my bank finally took action on their own and "charged off" my account to stop the fraudulent charges. I honestly thought that they had cancelled my account after non payment, never thinking that they would continue to charge my bank account after I called and request cancellation of my account. At any rate, my bank account is now at -50.00 due to over draft charges for ACH charges that were NOT authorized being as they were submitted AFTER the date in which I request my internet account cancelled. I spoke with NetZero today to try and clear this mess up and they refuse to refund any overdraft fees because "those charges were applied by my credit union and they need to be the ones to refund those fees not us" but the fact of the matter is that they are the ones that caused these overdrafts to happen by submitting ACH charges that they were NOT authorized to submit especially on an account that had been previously requested to be cancelled. Please advise.
