9.0 destroyed my brower window got new computer now AOL bills me for 2 new accounts never signed up fo

I decided to try the AOL 9.0 in the mail. First, that disk had a bug and would not dial in. They told me that straight up and said they knew about that problem.

Then, I called, and they had me do some stuff to put in 8.0 manually and got a dial. That took out my brower window, so I was online but could not see anything—no brower/search window with spots to type in www etc.

I cancelled AOL but then had no brower. I called to tell them that needed to be fixed or I could not even go online "to compare" like they advertised.

They said they had to sign me back up, or they could not help me. Finally, I get a window, but it is AOL. But, I could get online. I then cancelled the account as I hated what they did to my computer and did not want to use them then or EVER. I told them to cancel and to NEVER contact me again. They continue to send those disks to my house over and over and over. I scratch those with a knife and throw them away, so no one else gets a computer messed up by AOL.

I never could get the browser to work after that AOL bug on my computer. So, I traded computers with my boys who don't use Internet. It was their school work computer. So, now we are traded off on those. I like my old computer and have most of my files on there, but that's how all that worked out.

Now, nine months later, AOL billed me for AOL broadband. They not only billed me one account but two on my credit card. Who needs two accounts? DUH. I never signed up. Believe me. I avoid AOL like the plague. They messed up my work computer here at home which I still can't use due to AOL putting junk on their disks to try to force me to stay with their service. I would never in a million years click on an AOL add, put in a disk they keep sending here, or in any other way say "yes" to AOL.

It took 2 calls to get to fraud and very, very long waits. The woman who was to "help" me was rude as h*ll. She said she cancelled my account. I asked if she cancelled both. She butted back in, didn't answer that question, and was very condescending. Anyone with such poor phone manners should be fired. Her name is Selena. I suppose she has no last name.

They asked for way too much personal info on this fraud report case. They should not need my SS number but made me give that to cancel what I never signed up for in the first place.

I was snottily told that if I tried to use free service with my credit card (which they had to have the number on too) that I would be denied. HELLO! How hard is it for them to understand that I did not and do not want their service even if they pay me to use it? They ruined my computer for Internet. That's a big "cost" on my end. Plus, all that time they gave me the runarounds.

This current problem is that they set me up two accounts with no authorization. They had my credit card stuff from before and for some reason (fraud?) charged me up for 2 accounts at the same time when I don't want one from them and never do ever.

Do not put that free month AOL in your computer. You'll have one heck of a time ever getting through to cancel. Endless waits to that. And, they have bugs (perhaps intentional) that make a mess of your computer.
