My local Internet provider was purchased by Skybeam. Reliiability and service has hit rock bottom. You can not count on having a connection. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's slow, sometimes no connection at all. Better hope you don't need a service call to your location. I was told that was a ten day wait.
If you think canceling their service, will solve your problem... Guess again. I cancelled service 30 days ago and today I received a bill for last months service. When I called, I was told that it is their policy to continue billing (even if service is cancelled) till they decide to pick up their equipment. When I asked when might that be, I was given a date an additional 30 days later. Apparently, they are so busy it takes them at least 60 days to remove their equipment.
After reading the other reviews of this company, I don't expect them to be around much longer with the level of service they are providing today.
