How do they sleep at night?

Okay, like many other people - I have been a loyal paying customer of AT&T for quite a few years now. But it seems like the only grief that I have in my life comes from dealing w/them.
MY BEEF:

In May I phoned AT&T to make sure that transferring my service (U-verse internet/home phone) to my new address would work out O.K. They said they found my address and everything would be fine. Okay, on 6/13 I phoned again to transfer my service. On Tuesday 6/14 I phoned again to check on the status and was told they could not locate my address: 541 1/2. The 1/2 is what is causing all the problems (for only AT&T tho, the county auditor, gas co. And elec.Co. Are fine w/it). Was told they would call me back later - NO CALL. I phoned in again later to check the status - was told a Tech. Would be out the next day - waited 12 hours. No show. I phoned in on Thursday, spent 2 HOURS on a pay phone and finally had to hang up on the final 40 minutes on hold-time. I about gave up when I phoned AT&T on Saturday and finally got thru - said everything would be up and running TODAY - Wednesday the 22nd. And it's NOT of course. They so kindly sent me a new modem I did not ask for - but I didn't receive it anyway. Come to find out - they turned MY internet service on at the WRONG ADDRESS not once - but TWICE, and undoubtedly these people have my modem. So, here I sit waiting for a call back from AT&T. I am a college student w/online classes but their service/rep/sales people could give a hoot... How do they sleep at night??
