Speednet offers a locked in rate for life of $34.95 a month for 3 meg internet service. They decided to change their rate by limiting the data to only 5 gb per month or 200 gb for $69.95 a month. The previous plan had no data limit. The company even changed the plan for the users that prepaid for one year of service, effectively changing the contract to only six months of service instead of the year service that was paid for. Speednet has also had a very bad track record of providing anything close the the 3 meg level of service that they are selling. For the last year I have only received about a 0.5 meg level of service.
