I read a newspaper articvle about penny auction sites and decided to investigate. At priceshuffle.com, I was promised 300 free bids for registering. After registering, my credit card was charged $149.75. I contacted my credit card company right away. I contacted Priceshuffle, wanting my $149.75 back, but they said their terms and conditions clearly state "no refunds", and refused to credit me.
My bank came back 2 weeks later, saying priceshuffle sent proof I "purchased" a 300 bidpack for $149.75. The bank has to abide by pricelines terms and conditions, and refused to do anything for me. I since closed the credit card account.
Going back to the webpage at priceline.com, I saw where there was a small dropdown box stating 300 bidpack $149.75. I was totally lost on the left side of the page, while the form you're filling out is on the right. Very deceptive.
