3 months ago i received a new hp dv 7 computer from the factory, to replace the one that hp (after sending back 8 times) could not figure out why it kept shutting down.
The new computer was great except the keys on the the keyboard were coming off after i had it for only 2 weeks. They sent me a fed ex box. I sent it to tennessee and got a call stating my screen was cracked. The speakers were shot and the mother board had liquid spilled on it and the mother board was ruined. I stated i never ever drink next to my computers and if it happened it either happened before it was originally sent to me or they did it. The guy said my warranty was void. End of discussion. I asked to talk to his supervisor and he said (and i will never forget) "there is no one higher than me at hp". He said he was busy. It will cost over 900.00 to repair. What did i want to do. Unemployed... Obviously i did not have 900.00 to repair the 800.00 computer, so they sent it back to me. I took it to "computers unlimited" in erie pa and he examined it. Put a new keyboard on it and hey!!! Guess what??? It is working perfect. 3 months later... The tech said as far as he could see, they lied about the speakers the motherboard and the screen and that there is nothing wrong with it. And since i am typing on it right now. 3 months after hp said it was ruined i have tried to get my warranty reinstated but hp won't return my emails or my phone calls. Any suggestions
