I sold a power supply unit on Amazon.com entering the part number into their system. The information that came up by entering the part number was a little bit confusing but I made it clear again under "Notes" what I was selling (Model # of the part, output in watts, etc)
I paid almost twice as much for shipping than the amount that Amazon "reimbursed" me. Their system is set up the way that the seller has to pay partially for the shipping. There is no "shipping will be determined" or the option for the seller to enter an amount for shipping.
A few weeks later I received a message from the buyer saying that I had sold him the "wrong part". The reason was that Amazon had put something under their description " xxxxx... Replaces xxxxx". If this information was wrong, it was not my responsability because it was Amazon who gave that information, not me and I did not have any way of editing this information.
I explained this to the buyer and told him that I made it clear under "notes" which part I was selling. However, Amazon took the funds out of my account and reimbursed him. This was done without my consent and without returning the merchandise to me.
What a scam!
