Lousy picture quality on HD - digital cable service

I have deteriorating picture quality on both (of two) HD cable boxes in my house in Howard County Maryland. After months of trying to get this resolved, I was informed last night that there is nothing in my repair records with COMCAST to indicate that I have any such problem, either "inside" or "outside". Multiple techs have reported to me during trouble calls that there is "weak signal" in the neighborhood, but somehow that doesn't make it into the trouble report (or it doesn't "stick" once it gets there).

So I am paying for premium HD service but not receiving adequate HD signal, especially in non-work hours when I am more likely to be watching TV.

I have a friend in the area with FIOS. I am going to see what their picture looks like on the shows that I never get to watch because the picture freezes and "pixelates".
