March 30th I purchased an Acer Notebook for $79.00 along with the purchase of a warranty for an extra $150.00, Unfortunately the notebook needed to go in for service on October 16 for a frozen screen.
On November 11 I returned to the store to pick up my notebook and was told the warranty did not cover the repair and the notebook was not serviced due to scratches and a bumper missing on the bottom.
The price for the part they needed is listed at $117.00 and the total cost would be $212.00 which I refused to pay. Due to the fact that If I have the notebook fixed the warranty is void on any future repairs because of the scratch and bumper missing.
I felt that this was a total scam and requested to cancel the warranty and demanded a refund,
am I wrong? Am I out of line I asked the rep.
To this date December 10 no refund has been issued to me and I finally got back the notebook in worse condition it was in from the date that I brought it in, which I told the sales associate at the store.
