Domain Theft - Customer Run Around - Will not Cancel - Tries to charge fees

After completion of the sign-up and payment procedure, I never received the confirmation of purchase email which is customary after such a purchase.
When contacting the company they took so long (1 hour and a half) to finally give me the confirmation email with logon information. As a result, I complained and was offered a 50% discount in an apology email and when I clicked on the link it took me to a webpage which would not allow me to take advantage of the discount because they already had my domain name that I wanted tied up somehow.
I wanted them to fix that so I complained about that and in that process became so fed up with the lack of customer service support. It appears that they have an additional service which is a Priorit Support upgrade. I found that out when they tried to upgrade me to that.
I told them that was contrary to what I expected from a company because everyone should be treated fairly and equally when it comes to support. I told them that I was experiencing some real difficulties on a couple of issues and that is probably why because I was not a "Priority Support" customer at the time.
Also, anytime you send them an email or call for support they create support tickets which flood your email inbox with confirmations of receipt and no real support on the issues that you are attempting to resolve.
It gets worse too. When you try to tell them that you want to cancel which I did within 2 hours of doing business with them they give you a run around and stall for days. I had to wait 3 days for them to finally cancel.in the meantime, whenever I would flat out and tell them that I do not want to do business with them they would come back to me with some other offer to keep me there.
I would refuse each one but they were ignoring my multiple requests to cancel. When they were offering me 50% off the amount that they calculated was not 50%. It was more. I told them that was screwy and half is half. It was another reason to tell them to cancel.
When I finally got them to listen to me enough to cancel the tech support guy directed me to a email address - [email protected]. I did that 3 times but it only resulted in offers to stay with incentives that did not work or was not as they claimed like the 50% off deal.
Finally, they gave me a webpage to visit to fill out the cancel process. It was going to result in zero refund and I almost was going to click on it which was going to make it final. I am glad I caught myself but I was mad after 2 days of dealing with them and told them that they were trying to rip me off of my guaranteed full refund.
I actually feel they created that webpage with that result to rip me off. When I got a response back they said they fixed it. When I went back it showed now I owed them $20.00 for the domain name registration. That domain name was critical to my business and I have been telling them for 2 days not to register it but they ignored me and went ahead and did it so they could make me pay a $20.00 fee to them instead of another hosting company.
I thought that was a pretty low blow and spiteful of them. I finally negotiated a deal with them to allow me my full refund and I would let them keep the domain name. They agreed but not before trying to send me back to the same webpage which showed that I would owe them $20.00 for the domain name registration. I was so angry with them that I told them that I refused to fill out their funky forms and as far as I was concerned I had informed them for 3 days that I wanted to cancel and that was notice enough.
I demaned that they refund my Paypal account immediately. I had to threaten these guys with derogatory but truthful reviews everywhere I could and in forum boards wherever I could. This is my following through with what I told them I would do if they kept my domain name which I consider them to have stolen from me knowing that it was critical to my website business.
Don't let this happen to you. Go with another company and don't rely on JustHost.com's promise of support or money back guarantee. I did get my full refund which is processing right now through Paypal back to my bank but I lost the domain name in the process.
I just figured that it would be easier to create another domain name of plenty of choices than to deal with JustHost.com for another year. I went with another host that I should have gone with in the first place.
Thanks for listening to this information. If I could prevent just one person from experiencing 3 days of hell that I did then it was worth losing the domain name for my website.
