Complaint / Review
EBay
Publishes open disregard for their own rules and regulations

It is not hard to see why so many people are so frustrated with eBay in the manner in which they conduct business. This is a prime example where an open admission of discriminating and making up rules as they go regardless as to whether or not the legally binding User Agreement states differently. There is no way to beat such cavalier behavior other than to force eBay into court.

Prime examples which constantly irritate sellers is the removal of the listings for violations of some perceived infraction without explaining the, "Wrong Doing". This costs the seller a loss of money and time not to mention the distress caused by the haphazzard accountability of eBay's actions.

This is an example of eBay's stating one thing in their rulings yet contradicted in their own legal contract with the members. This happens multiple times daily thereby increasing the frustrations, lossc of money for the sellers and eBay itself. What makes a company become so uncaring and unprofessionalin their performance? I suggest that the Board of Directors are not aware of what happens below the board room other than the charts made to dazzle them. I find this unbelievable and in my many years of business dealings I have never seen anything like this. Below is my eemail responding to eBay which is directly below that. Enjoy

I am going to direct eBay one more time and I suggest that every CSR who monitors the eBay Blog reports, be given a copy of this entire email. We are going once again on a little trip through the eBay rules and regulations. If the trianing program is so poor or employees can't read or comprehend the written word, then eBay is in a heap of trouble.

You are applying the use for discussion boards, chat rooms, etc. I have pointed this out so many times and it has been totally pushed aside, I think so as to not to have to admit that a mistake was made. I have it in writing from the office of the president that mistakes were made.

In all actuallity, you owe me an apology for listening to gbayemporium over what eBay has published as the, "Bible", for everybody, employees and members to follow.

Additional Information
Exceptions for Blog use
Use of profanity (not patently vulgar language, hate speech, or adult material) in the context of a Blog will generally be permitted; however, excessive and inappropriate use is discouraged. Remember, you are responsible for all content you publish.

Members publishing Blogs may include links to sites that offer goods for sale off eBay, as long as they do not promote outside-of-eBay sales or prohibited items; nor may the Blog contain links to commercial Web sites where goods from multiple sellers are aggregated by a common search engine.

Exceptions for Reviews
When reviewing a product where the title contains a profane or vulgar term (e.G., a CD with a profane term in the title), the reviewer may use the term, but only in the context of the title

Dear Lawrence,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your concerns with the blogs.

EBay doesn't allow the use of profanity or vulgar language in a public
area of the eBay Web site. This includes language that is racist,
hateful, sexual or obscene in nature.

We do allow media titles and descriptions (such as a CD name and track
list) that contain profanity on the main site and in Adult Only. This
profanity is allowed only if the original production company title or
description contains the profane words. No other profanity is
allowed. This includes Blogs. The exception is for media items only and
doesn't apply to any other items.

We strongly recommend that sellers review the "Some Examples" and
"Additional Information" sections of the eBay Profanity policy before
listing any items.

For more information on our Profanity policy, please go to:

Http://pages. Ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-profanity.html
Your blog was in violation of our guidelines because it included the
following:

"I see Pooky Baby looking for the ususal tummy tickle. Yoiu would think
his wife would give him all the attention that he craves. She is probably
dead tired of her hubby wanker yanking about OOL all the time. Might even
drive her away if it goes on long enough."

Under the Community Content policy, a link to your own Web site or
Internet store is allowed. However, blogs can't specifically promote
off-eBay sales or items that are prohibited on eBay.in addition, the
linked page can't contain links to commercial Web sites where items from
multiple sellers are aggregated by a common search engine.

*Examples*
- Allowed: Please visit my Web site www.mywebsite.com
- Not Allowed: Please visit my Web site "www.mywebsite.com" for more
great designer clothing at a cheaper price!"

MC182 eBay Content Violation - Content RemovedWhat's funny that you
never sanctioned pegonthe-bay for any of those entries to which I
referred. So it is fine for one to make the initial entries on the blogs
that are gross and indecent yet when I call them out for the grossness
of the content, you find it unsatisfactory.
Is that because you never did your job in the first place?

MC182 eBay Content Violation - Content Removed

Hello observations-of-life
([email protected]),
Your comment on the following blog:
http://blogs. Ebay.com/observations-of-life/entry/A-Boy-Named-SUE/_W0QQidZ932552017
has been removed for violating the eBay
Community Content policy.
The material in question is as follows:
"Willy nilly. Because moonpie, you openly
brag about your sexual prowess, size and firmness. Nobody in their right
mind does that in a public forum other than on a adult website.
To create an ID to advertise your
willy, "The Huge Rooster". Brag about the 10 inch length is sick in
anybody's mind. Don't forget about, "Mike Hunt". That is probably closer
to the truth.
To brag about how big your testicles are
and firm they are to another man is beyonds belief. You ares till stuck
in your youth where it was seen as cool to engage in that locker room
talk.
Believe it or not adults do not talk
like that in open forums and certainly no adults that I know talk about
things like that at all. We have other importent matters to discuss like
our pets, gardens, fishing, politics, the Olympics..."
