National Imaging Systems has ripped off another innocent consumer.in January a salesman from this company called to offer a free toner cartridge to prove that his cartridge would outperform the current one I was using which was from a major supplier and that its price would be well worth it. After insisting that his cartidge was superior, he offered it for free to let me try it to prove it was better. All I had to do was promise to purchase more from him if the cartidge was better.
Well, needless to say, the cartridge was not better and in addition, I received an invoice which was more than double the price of the prior cartridge that I was using. I called immediately about the invoice and the reply I received was that the invoice was for information only and that I did not have to pay it. Later on, I received collection calls from National Imaging insisting that payment was due because I never returned the empty cartridge. Of course I was never told this in advance and the empty cartridge is long gone. I argued my case and even offered to pay an amount equal to the prior cartridge that I was using since that is the value I received from their cartridge but they refused. They are now threatening to send the account to a collection agency and add interest charges.
There must be some laws making such unscrupulous practices illegal.
