Classmates.com auto-renewed a membership, claimed I gave them the right to do so, and refused to give the money back. They said all this was in the fine print. However, I believe all the major points of a decision should be up front, not buried in the back. Classmates.com seems like a deceptive company.
Additionally, those folks who were trying to contact me that caused me to start the first membership were people I had never heard of. Again, Classmates.com seems like a deceptive company.
We need a law to prevent this type of business practice. No more auto-renews unless its plainly understood up front, a reminder gets sent prior to, and there is recourse with the company for a complete refund. Send a note to your legislators to enact laws to protect us from companies like Classmates.com
