Amazon steals from it's customers

I have had an account on Amazon for a good five years or more. Recently, I swapped over 17,000 American Airlines frequent flier miles for an Amazon Gift Certificate. The certificate was for $76.00. I then went to their site and ordered a book for about $19.00. After placing the order, I got an email saying that my account was closed for "fraud". There was no fraud. If they want to close the account that is fine, but refund my gift certificate to me. I cannot "unswap" my airline miles.

I called and talked with them and was told an account specialist would call me in 24 to 48 hours. I waited 72. No call, so I called again. The CSR must be reading from a script, because I was again told the exact same thing. I asked to be transfered to the account specialist now, but was told that I could not be transfered because the CSR "did not have that number". So, I asked how many times am I going to have to keep calling back, to be told that I will get a call in 24 to 48 hours, and no one ever calls. The second call did no good either, as it has now been a week, and no call.

I want my gift certificate refunded to me or applied to a new amazon account that I opened when they closed the supposedly fraudulent account. They kept the gift certificate, worth $76.00, and ignore my calls and requests. I have filed a BBB report as well. The gift certificate is not fraudulent. Check with American Airlines. It is legit, and I want the amount given back to me.
