On October 22nd, I ordered two Barack Obama Hope white rubber bracelets from www.barackobamma.com. October 22nd was long enough from the election to receive the item before the elections, so I beleived. The bracelets are subtle enough to wear anywhere, and they are make a loud statment soft.
Along with the bracelets, I made a simple donation. Then, I waited patiently for them to arrive. Deciding I'd wear them daily, if he won the election. I had ordered a couple of more times before, with no problem, and infact, I had ordered 1 bracelet, but gave it to my mom, so she could have a historical souvenir. It arrived, on time.
A day before the election, when I had not received my bracelets, I emailed the store. I received a nice email, thanking me for the donation, and assuring me I'd receive the item in a few days. If not, to email the store and I'd be promptly given a refund. The email was thoughtfully written and read as if it was not an auto-responder.
I did as I was told. Waited, and received nothing. I emailed the store, and was sent an auto-responder. Nothing is more annoying! After trying to email the store again, I began calling the store, to receive not a human, but a robovoice. (I didn't think Barack used robovoices!).
I then got to the end of my rope, and on 11/19, called the 1-866 number. I left a detailed message, and I told them I'd give them until 12:00 central time today, to reply. If they did not reply, I'd be calling them again, and I had every right to notify several websites, and also the biggie: usacomplaints.com, and also, xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
There is a 1-312-819-3008 number to call for further instructions. After dialing that number, I got a very kind person, who gave me the email of the person handling order requests.
I have emailed the person handling requests, and I notified them that I'd post this to xxxxxxxx, xxxxxxxxxxx, usacomplaints.com. I gave them until 1:00 today to do this.
Realizing that 8.00 is not as big as 60.00 (thank goodness I didn't order the 60.00 t-shirt), the 8.00 is not part of a donation. The donation was the second part of the order, and included as the payment.
I am in the process of notifying other sites mentioned, and will continue to call them until I receive a refund. No company should treat any customer this poor.
