"Dude, you got screwed!" Lied about pricing programs offered options offered Rip-off Dallas

I don't know were to begin. First I want to say to everyone DON'T BUY A DELL. I have NEVER in my life delt with such a lying, disgusting company. First the person I ordered the computer from told me that it came with an on board disk AND CD drive which it did not. He said it came with TWO USB ports, which it did not, I was quoted a price that was $150 less then I was charged, and most importantly I was told that it CAME WITH Windows XP. Which it did NOT!!!

I was on the phone with Dell "customer service" for FOUR months trying to fix all the problems with my new laptop as well as find out where my XP program was. I was told that my computer didn't come with XP but rather with an XP upgrade. This was NOT was I was told my the salesman when I ordered it. It took four and a half months, over 65 hours on the phone with customer service and a BBB report to FINALLY get the operating system that I was told came with my computer.

I was lied to several times buy the 'customer service" reps who apperently are told to lie to the customer to make them happy but NEVER follow through with those statements. I regrete daily that I didn't send the damn thing back the day I got it.

When I finally got my new XP upgrade my entire computer crashed when I installed it. Not only that but a scanner that I bought crashed the computer when I tried to use it. I know have a brand new unused scanner.

Now it's two months after my warrenty has expired and my USB port no longer works and my computer refuses to fully recognise my A drive. I have talked to two other former Dell owners (now own Mac's) who have told me that their Dell's did the same thing a year after owning them. Great! What a savings I got with Dell! I now know that the "Dude, you gotta Dell" is not a claim of excitement but rather can be interpreted as, "Dude, you got screwed!"
