I sure wish I had seen the other reports before I placed my order with OutdoorSuperstore.com. I was lured by the best price listed on a Google search for an item I was looking for. Not to mention I found a "free shipping" code for the site. The site listed it as "In stock", and indicated that my Mastercard would only be charged when the item shipped. The charge was made to my card within minutes of my order, at about 10: pm PST, and the business in in SC, in the Eastern time zone. I smelled somethin' fishy right away.
I've emailed twice requesting a status report on my order. I've called the Customer Service line and waited on hold for over 3 hours without my call being answered. Then I was hung up on by the phone system. I've even called the office of James Haltiwanger, Jr., President, Chairman and CEO of Outdoor Interactive, the company that wholey owns outdoorsuperstore.com.
I have not reached a single person, had a reply email, or a returned phone call from anyone at outdoorsuperstore.com or outdoorinteractive.net.
The web sites tout superb customer service, easy return policies, and great gear. However, they're not doing a damn thing after they take your $. Buyer beware... The savings are not worth the hastle, and you're not going to get the gear you paid for anyhow.
