I odered a GPS online based on a cost comparison from one of the many sites that list the best price. 86th street was listed as a certified merchant; however, I had the same experience as the others:
Item was listed as in stock, placed order, got email the next day saying I need to call and confirm order and when I did Steve at ext 203 tried to sell me a 2GB memory card for the unit for $169.00 and when I told him I couldn't afford it he hung up on me.
Within five minutes I received the following email: "We regret to inform you that by the time your order reached the shipping process, our inventory on the product (s) you ordered was negative, therefore your order will
be placed on a temporary backorder until we receive the product (s) back again in stock which will be in about 3-4 weeks".
I called back and asked if I used expedited shipping if that would make any difference and he rudely told me no and hung up while I was still talking! Stay clear of these type dealers and check them out before you order!
