First off, I work in Iraq. I order from Tigerdirect.com all the time. I have no problems with thier products and I consider thier shipping time decent considering I am in the middle of nowhere, and there is not really much controll over the mail when it hits the US military mail system. My issue is with the rebate system.

I ordered a few items because they had rebates for them. Once my items arrived 4-5 weeks after purchase, I took a photograpgh of the item showing the upc code as well as the reciept. It takes mail anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months to get to the States from where I am, so I uploaded the images to an email and sent them to my family in the States along with copied of all documentation required for the rebates.

About a month goes by and I finally recieve an email about my rebates.

Denied...

The email stated that I needed to send in the ORIGINAL UPC and copy of the reciept within a certain amount of time from purchase... 30 days I do believe... I replied and attached my order number which shows my address on it. There is no way that I could possibly order the product, them ship it out here, and mail the original upc to them from here in that amount of time... Heck, the first package with an item I had a rebate for didnt even get here in 30 days!!! It took 36 days to even get to me.

I think that they should look at where they are shipping items to and take that into consideration for the rebate time period, or at least let us few in remote locations be able to email the documentation in to them.

Once agan, the company itself is not bad, but the rebate process sucks.
